IF YOU CAN’T FIND ANYTHING to watch on this weekend’s schedule, you’re not trying hard enough.

Wednesday: The boys’ high school basketball schedule will have state-ranked Clear Brook at Brazoswood, Clear Springs at Clear Falls, Dickinson at Brazoswood, Friendswood at Goose Creek Memorial, Baytown Lee at Galveston Ball and Manvel at Texas City each starting at 7:00pm.

In girls’ high school basketball, Texas City at Manvel tips off at 5:45pm, followed by Clear Creek at Clear Brook, Clear Falls at state-ranked Clear Springs, Goose Creek Memorial at Friendswood and Santa Fe at Baytown Sterling beginning at 7:00pm.

The boys’ high school soccer slate will have Clear Brook at Alvin, Friendswood at Galveston Ball and Baytown Lee at Texas City each starting at 7:30pm.

Meanwhile, the girls’ high school soccer schedule will have Galveston Ball at Friendswood and Santa Fe at Manvel. Each match starts at 7:30pm.

The Rockets host the Suns beginning at 8:30pm. AT&T Sportsnet Southwest will start its coverage at 8:00pm for a game that will also be aired on ESPN.

Thursday: The one high school boys’ basketball game will have Galveston Ball at Texas City beginning at 6:00pm.

La Marque’s boys’ soccer team hits the road to participate in the Columbia Tournament, which runs through Saturday.

In powerlifting, the Santa Fe girls’ team visits Dickinson beginning at 4:00pm.

Friday: Diamonds will be a boys’ best friend as the day marks the first practices of the 2021 high school baseball season.

The high school boys’ hoops dance card will have La Marque at Columbia at 6:30pm, followed by Clear Creek at Clear Springs at 7:00pm and Hitchcock at Boling at 7:30pm.

State-ranked Hitchcock at Boling starts the girls’ high school basketball schedule at 6:15pm, with Columbia at La Marque tipping off at 6:30pm.

On the girls’ high school soccer docket, Clear Springs at Cy Ranch starts at 7:00pm, while Clear Falls at Pasadena gets underway at 7:30pm.

Santa Fe’s golf team will participate in a meet at Great Wood Country Club.

The Rockets make a two-game road trip that starts with the Pistons. AT&T Sportsnet Southwest starts the pregame show at 5:30pm, leading into the tip shortly after 6:00pm.

Saturday: The afternoon of high school boys’ hoops starts with Clear Creek at Clear Springs, Clear Lake at Clear Falls, Galveston Ball at Manvel and Texas City at Baytown Sterling at 1:00pm. La Porte at Friendswood closes out the schedule at 2:00pm.

The girls’ high school soccer schedule gets an early start with Baytown Lee at Galveston Ball at 11:00am, followed by Friendswood at Goose Creek Memorial and Manvel at Texas City beginning at 12:00pm. The schedule wraps up with Baytown Sterling at Santa Fe at 2:00pm.

Meanwhile, the boys’ high school soccer schedule will have Goose Creek Memorial at Friendswood and Texas City at Manvel at 12:00pm. Baytown Lee at Galveston Ball will be uner the lights at 7:30pm.

Houston concludes its brief two-game road trip when it visits Dallas for a 7:30pm clash. AT&T Sportsnet Southwest will have the game live starting with the pregame show at 7:00pm.
