From Texas City Cultural Arts Foundation
We are excited to be moving forward with our Art Walk at our historic downtown 6th Street on Thursday, April 22.
This Thursday evening, from 5:00pm until 8:00pm, we will premier art vendors and will bring together every facet of visual and performing arts. This free art walk festival will feature hand craft local vendors selling unique one-of-a-kind items. You will be able to meet and purchase art directly from the creators. At this event we will also showcase musical performances from Texas City ISD’s Mariachi Raya and the Texas City High School Jazz Band. We will have an interactive DJ, street performer and Selena impersonator. There will be multiple youth art activities including silhouette tempera paint pour, spin art and jewelry making which is all free for the kiddos. For those that want to be active there will be a lumber jack throw, mini golf course and a speed pitch to have fun with.
The businesses down 6th street as well as the food truck park will be open for visitors on this wonderful night of art and music. Be sure to stop by and enjoy and celebrate arts in downtown Texas City as we take our first steps toward returning to normal.
