The La Marque High School Cheerleaders traveled to Stephen F. Austin University this week to attend their 2021 NCA Cheer Camp. The girls received Superior ribbons in all categories of Cheer, Chant, and Band Chant and received the H.E.R.K.I.E. award, voted on by the other teams in attendance, as well as the top award of NCA Spirit Award, given to the team that exhibits the most spirit at the camp the entire week.
The cheerleaders in attendance were KaMari Armstrong, Do’Majani Jones, Khalia Lee-East, Jee’Niya Lewis, Taylor Lewis, Megan McCauley, Jee’Slyn Nelson, Myesha Owens, and Emily Vicente. Their coach is Jouyzelle Lister.
