The week starts with the Texans hosting a Colts team that has tormented them over the years, while Texas City plays host to a swimming event that includes two other area schools. Of course, it’s not Tuesday if there’s no boys’ and girls’ basketball as District 22-5A continues its early stages.

Sunday: The Texans will look to trip up a Colts team that is trying to stay in the AFC playoff chase when the two AFC South squads meet at NRG Stadium at 12:00pm. KHOU-11 will have the game live. Indianapolis won the first game of the season series on October 17 when they rolled to a 31-3 win at Lucas Oil Stadium.

The Rockets will host the Pelicans for a 6:00pm tilt at Toyota Center. AT&T Sportsnet Southwest will start coverage at 5:30pm with the pregame show.

Monday: Texas City’s swim and dive team welcomes Angleton and Galveston Ball for a tri-meet at Doyle Natatorium beginning at 5:00pm.

Tuesday: The boys’ high school basketball schedule starts with Kingwood at state-ranked Clear Brook, state-ranked Hitchcock at Clear Creek, Clear Springs at North Shore, Dickinson at Fort Bend Elkins, Baytown Lee at Galveston Ball, Baytown Sterling at Santa Fe, and Manvel at Texas City each beginning at 7:00pm, followed by Clear Falls at Bellaire at 7:30pm.

The girls’ high school schedule has Dickinson at La Marque at 6:30pm, followed by state-ranked Clear Brook at Katy, Elsik at Clear Creek, Deer Park at Clear Springs, Goose Creek Memorial at Friendswood, Galveston Ball at Baytown Lee, Santa Fe at Baytown Sterling and Texas City at Manvel each have 7:00pm starts.
