Bolivar: GOOD. 74 degrees. When the weather permits the South Jetty and North Jetty are producing trout and redfish free lining live shrimp or croaker against rocks, or using live shrimp under a popping cork. Trinity Bay: GOOD. 76 degrees. Open bay fishing is blown out. East shoreline still holding decent clarity. Anglers throwing artificial lures are getting the most bites on speckled trout. The northwest corner of the bay, by Morgan’s Point, has slowed way down. A few fish are still being caught on live shrimp. Report by Captain David Dillman, Galveston Bay Charter Fishing.

East Galveston Bay: GOOD. 76 degrees. Winds have limited open bay catches. Those fishing the protected shoreline catching scattered speckled trout and redfish. Best bait is live shrimp and soft plastic jigs. Report by Captain David Dillman, Galveston Bay Charter Fishing.

Galveston Bay: GOOD. 76 degrees. Catches of speckled trout, black drum, and redfish have been fair. Winds and off colored water has been a factor. Bait supplies are good, but shrimp are running large. Report by Captain David Dillman, Galveston Bay Charter Fishing.

West Galveston Bay: GOOD. 77 degrees. Speckled trout catches are improving for those throwing live natural baits. Open bay fishing is tough due to the winds. Bait supplies are only fair on the island. Report by Captain David Dillman, Galveston Bay Charter Fishing.

Texas City: GOOD. 74 degrees. Winds have been a factor in the not so stellar catches. Bull reds have been tops in the action at the Galveston jetties. Best bait is fresh dead shad. Very few trout have been caught on the rocks. Those fishing in protected waters around lower Galveston Bay have landed speckled trout, black drum, and a few reds, all on live shrimp. Freeport: GOOD. 75 degrees. Deep guts flowing into the bay are full of shrimp attracting fish. Redfish, trout, drum and sheepshead are showing up in good numbers freeling live shrimp. Report by Captain Jake Brown, Flattie Daddy Fishing Adventures.

East Matagorda Bay: FAIR. 75 degrees. After fighting high winds for the past few weeks the forecast is improving. Shrimp migration is underway and the fish are ready to feed. West Matagorda Bay: GOOD. 75 degrees. After fighting high winds for the past few weeks the forecast is improving. Shrimp migration is underway and the fish are ready to feed. Port O’Connor: GOOD. 75 degrees. Weather is improving and the fishing will be good. Trout are good at the jetties biting on four inch artificial shrimp in rootbeer, and large live shrimp. Slot redfish are good on large live shrimp and sardines. Black drums are good on dead shrimp. Bull redfish and jack crevalle are numerous, eating anything that hits the water.
