Friendswood alum Ty Shelby signed a free agent contract with the Los Angeles Chargers, making him the latest Galveston County representative in the NFL. Shelby played at Louisiana-Monroe, where he recorded 5.5 sacks and 41 total tackles during his senior year in 2021.
