The Lagoonfest Texas Rocks Concert Series kicks off from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 21, with Houston-rock band Alias – one of 20 bands performing at the venue through October.
“We’re excited to showcase a great line-up of tribute bands through the fall, representing nearly all genres of music…from country and pop to eighties new wave and heavy metal,” said Uri Man, Chief Executive Officer of The Lagoon Development Company. “Even for frequent concert goers, it’s really a unique experience to enjoy music while relaxing in the crystal clear water. “
Park admission prices are $15 from 4 to 6 p.m. and $10 after 6 p.m. and include that day’s concert for free — with food and drinks available throughout the shows.
Man added that rooftop cabanas are also available for rental, and the concerts are ideal for company parties and family get-togethers.
All performances take place on the South Shore on the Island at Lagoonfest Texas, located at 12600 Crystal View Blvd., and are included with daily admission tickets.

Located at 12600 Crystal View Blvd. in Texas City, Lagoonfest Texas is open 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Thursdays through Sundays through Sept. 4. It is also open on Labor Day, Sept. 5. After Labor Day, the venue will be open 11 a.m. to sunset Saturdays and Sundays through September — and for evening concerts in October.
