State-ranked La Marque and Dickinson are among the five area teams that advanced to the UIL boys’ basketball playoffs. Clear Springs, state-ranked Friendswood, and Hitchcock are also competing in the bi-district round, which begins Monday. The bi-district schedule has:

6A Division 1

Clear Springs vs. North Shore – Monday, February 23 at Pasadena Sam Rayburn HS at 6pm

Dickinson vs. Atascocita – Tuesday, February 24 at Pasadena ISD Phillips Field House at 6pm

5A Division 2

Friendswood vs. Beaumont United – Tuesday, February 24 at East Chambers HS at 7pm

4A Division 2

La Marque vs. Ingleside – Monday, February 23 at Palacios HS at 6:30pm

3A Division 1

Hitchcock vs. Crockett – Tuesday, February 24 at New Caney HS at 8pm **Second game of a doubleheader with Onalaska and East Bernard – 6pm**

Friendswood’s vaunted swim and dive teams earned another trip to the UIL state finals. The Mustangs competed in Friday’s Class 5A finals.
