Devereux Texas is excited to announce that their League City campus is offering two new residential treatment programs. Devereux Texas has expanded to include a Behavioral Health Residential Treatment program serving adolescents, ages 14 to 17, with diagnoses/challenges, including:
• Anxiety, depression, mood disorders, and suicidal thoughts
• Learning disabilities
• Post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD)
• Challenging behaviors
• Medical complexities
• Difficulty making friends and/or being bullied by others
• Difficulty with social interactions/emotional regulation
• Parent-child communication challenges
• Substance abuse
• History of psychiatric hospitalizations
Devereux Texas also offers a new residential treatment program for adolescents with autism and intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD). This
program serves individuals, ages 7 to 17, with the following characteristics:
• Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD)
• Moderate to severe intellectual disability
• Moderate to severe communication and adaptive behavior skill deficits
• Behavioral challenges requiring intensive supervision and support
• Other disorders, considered case-by-case based on adaptive, communication, behavioral, and educational needs
Individuals receive care from a multidisciplinary treatment team consisting of a psychiatrist, therapist, nurse, teacher, and program manager, and a Board-Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) specifically for individuals in the Autism and IDD Program. The treatment programs are designed to help individuals achieve success outside the program, minimize the
need for future inpatient treatment, improve the ability to build/maintain relationships, provide skills to regulate emotions, and prepare for return home.
“We strive to provide the individuals we serve with the best possible care, and hope for brighter futures,”
said Executive Director Pamela Reed.
Located just south of Houston in northern Galveston County, Devereux’s League City location offers
a peaceful 49-acre wooded campus with access to many amenities, including a swimming pool, gymnasium, walking trail, playground, recreation room, kayaks, paddle boats, and on-campus dining. Devereux’s private school provides nontraditional, therapeutic programs in small classroom settings. In addition to core academics, the school offers courses in foreign language, art, career, and technology.

their programs. We are dedicated to building safe campuses and treatment communities where individuals
