WITH GOD, THERE IS ALWAYS HOPE

Who or what is your hope in? Psalm 39:7 reminds us to wait on God because our hope is in Him. Hope is expecting grace when things look hopeless and recognizing you need help because you can’t do it by yourself. Pastor Tony Evans says, “Hope is joyful expectation about the future.”

God made a promise to Abram, who was 75 at the time, that he would be a father of many nations. At the time Abram had no children. Later God changed Abram’s name to Abraham, meaning father of a multitude. Romans 4: 17-21 “I have made you a father of many nations” “In the presence of Him whom he believed -God, who gives life to the dead and calls those things which do not exist as though they did: who, contrary to hope, in hope believed, so that he became the father of many nations, according to what was spoken. “So shall your descendants be.” And not being weak in faith, he did not consider his own body, already dead (since he was about a hundred years old), and the deadness of Sarah’s womb. He did not waver at the promise of God through unbelief, but was strengthened in faith, giving glory to God, and being fully convinced that what He had promised He was also able to perform.” Abraham was 100 and his wife Sarah was 90 when they had their son Isaac. Abraham waited 25 years to see the promised son from God.

Hope is an image bigger than you because God is the only one who can do it. Meditate on God’s Word until you see the picture of what you are hoping for, and nothing can make you doubt it. If you start doubting, ask God to help your unbelief and to strengthen your faith.

In God’s eyes, there is nothing hopeless or too big for Him. With God’s help the impossible can become the possible.
