 Ephesians 3:17-18

Do you know Jesus?

I’m pretty sure everyone would answer this question with a reply of yes. But before you answer the question, really look at your life and see what you have done to get to know Him better. During the trails and hardship in your life, whom did you turn to first? Well it is not my argument but let me show you a beautiful passage. You may know about Jesus, but do you KNOW Jesus? What does it mean to have a relationship with Him?

Christianity is much more than knowledge and facts about Jesus.

Do You Really Know Jesus?

“Not everyone who says to Me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father who is in heaven will enter. Many will say to Me on that day, ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in Your name, and in Your name cast out demons, and in Your name perform many miracles?’ And then I will declare to them, ‘I never knew you; depart from Me, you who practice lawlessness” Matt. 7:21-23.

The Bible says we are to “experience the breadth and length and height and depth of Christ’s love” Eph 3:18.

We may know many facts about Jesus, just like we may know many facts about basketball superstar Michael Jordan, but that is not the same as knowing Him as a friend.

Christianity is much more than knowledge and facts about Jesus that we understand. It is a deep personal relationship with Jesus which touches every part of our being, including our spirit, soul, body, intellect, emotions, and feelings. Basically, everything that comprises who we are. We are created to know and experience to the deepest core of our being the very personal love of Jesus. For example, I know much more about my wife than some facts about her. I know her intimately in body, mind, emotions and spirit. Jesus came to bring us to this kind of relationship with Him and much more!

A number of people may be deceived by the deeds they’ve performed or accomplished. It’s no secret there are false prophets today, even as there were in the days when Jesus walked the earth. People may have the ability to be good speakers, sway emotions as well as belief systems. Some may be able to lay claim to performing great and mighty deeds. Others may have the ability to cast out demons. They may think all these good deeds and great accomplishments account for something, but no, unless a person knows Jesus, He will not acknowledge him or her, and the result is a Christ-less eternity.

Please examine your own heart and make sure today that you are born again and genuinely have repented of your sins. Don’t risk it. Wouldn’t you rather hear Jesus say, “Enter into the joy of your Lord” than “Depart from me?”

The Bible says we are to “experience the breadth and length and height and depth of Christ’s love.” How do we experience this love? Who qualifies for this love?

If you are breathing, you qualify!

For all the negative things we say to ourselves, God has a positive answer for it.

You say, “It’s impossible. God can’t love and forgive someone like me.”

God says, “All things are possible, you are just the type of person I came for.” Luke 18:27

You say, “Nobody really loves me.”

God says, “I love you.” John 13:34.

You say, “I can’t go on.”

God says, “My grace is sufficient.” Psalm 91:15.

You say, “I feel all alone.”

God says, “I will never leave you or forsake you.” Hebrews 13:5.

You say, “I can’t do it.” God says, “You can do all things.” Philippians 4:13.

You say, “It’s not worth it.” God says, “It will be worth it.” Roman 8:28.

You say, “I can’t forgive myself.” God says, “I forgive you.” Romans 8:1.

You say, “I’m afraid.” God says, “I have not given you a spirit of fear.” II Timothy 1:7.

You say, “I don’t have enough faith.” God says, “I’ve given you a measure of faith.” Romans 12:3.

What must you do to experience this great love of Jesus?

The good news of Jesus Christ is very simple to understand. We are all separated from God by the sins of our parents Adam and Eve, and our own sins. Jesus came to bridge the gap between God and us by dying for our sins on that bloody cross at Calvary. All we must do is personally accept the death of Jesus for ourselves and our sins. Commit your life totally to Jesus as your Savior and Lord. There are three simple things to this commitment:

1. Sorry; 2.Thank You, 3.Please.

I suggested praying this pray of commitment to Jesus:

Lord Jesus Christ (Say it out loud if possible),

I am sorry for the things I have done wrong in my life (Take a few minutes to ask His forgiveness for anything that comes to mind). Thank You that you died on the cross for me so that I could be forgiven and set free. Thank you that you offer me forgiveness of my sins and the gift of Your Spirit. I now receive that gift of your Holy Spirit. Please come into my life and be with me forever.

Thank You, Lord Jesus. Amen.

Now get to know the real Jesus Christ! By read the entire Bible.
