In the Waiting!

Psalm 39:7 reads, “And now, Lord, what do I wait for? My hope is in You.”

David realized he should look to God and wait for the next step. When we do the same, before making decisions or steps, we will be in a better place. If we’re honest, we have placed ourselves in situations that have cost us. If we had waited on God and listened, we would have many victories and positive outcomes.

The Lord is a Supreme Being. I love that there’s no one higher than Him. He’s whatever you need Him to be.

The question for today is “Why do you put your trust in others and things first, and not the Lord?”

When you put your flesh first (I can do it; and have your own plan because it’s taking too long), you leave God out of the picture.

Recognize who our Lord is and wait on Him. God is Omnipotent (all-powerful); Omnipresent (everywhere at all times); Omniscience (all-knowing the beginning to the end). With this kind of God, we should not have second thoughts about going to Him first.

We always want to be with God, not ahead or behind Him.

My hope should always be in God because He is the master planner and all-knowing. He never sleeps, so He sees the whole picture. When we act out of our intellect and our emotions that gets us in trouble.

Wisdom is to call on God, listen to God, and do what He says, when He says do it.

Learn to wait patiently on the Lord to work it out, because His ways and timing is always the best outcome. We can say “my hope is in You” because He can do what no one else can do. He can open doors that man closed. He can close doors that will do you harm. He can turn a hopeless, impossible situation around for your good. So, let’s put our hope in the Lord and wait patiently.
