Sabine Lake: GOOD. 79 degrees. Limits of redfish with trout mixed are good on flats and bayous in the ICW. Flounder are good along the banks and flats. Keith Lake is producing good numbers of speckled trout off shell reefs using morning glory swimbaits, and live shrimp under a popping cork. Slot redfish are good off points and grassy shorelines. Sabine jetties have good early morning trout bite on topwaters, switching to glo chartreuse artificials along the rocks slowly in the afternoon. Sabine channel producing nice redfish and trout in the incoming tides off points, drops, and shell flats in 3-10 feet of water using morning glory swimbaits, and live shrimp under a popping cork. Flounder are good in Sabine Lake with some redfish and trout mixed in. Fish along shell and grass flats with a mud bottom. Coffee Ground Cove is good drifting with swimbaits and live shrimp under a popping cork. North Levy on the first and second pike is producing limits of redfish and trout early morning when the wind is light out of the north or northwest. There are a few flounder on the embankment side. In the Neches River redfish are good off points and dops with live shrimp under a popping cork or quarter ounce jigs in Texas roach. Bolivar: GOOD. 82 degrees. Bolivar jetty is holding sheepshead, speckled trout and slot redfish using live shrimp under a popping cork close to the rocks. Bolivar Island shore holding redfish and small shark in the second and third gut on cut mullet. Hanna’s is starting to heat up as is Redfish at Goat. Trinity Bay: GOOD. 85 degrees. Speckled trout catches are good along the shorelines protected from the wind. The northern end of the bay is slightly off colored but holding smaller trout and sand trout biting soft plastics and live shrimp. Report by Captain David Dillman, Galveston Bay Charter Fishing.

East Galveston Bay: GOOD. 85 degrees. Excellent catches of speckled trout on topwater lures, hard plastic twitch baits, soft plastics, live shrimp, and croakers. Shorelines and open bay reefs are holding fish. Report by Captain David Dillman, Galveston Bay Charter Fishing.

Galveston Bay: GOOD. 85 degrees. Good catches of trout, black drum, and sheepshead from various locations off Eagle Point. Live shrimp and live croakers are working equally well. West Galveston Bay: GOOD. 86 degrees. Anglers drifting over the deeper shell reefs are finding success using live shrimp and croakers. Nice catches of flounder in grassy marsh shorelines. Texas City: GOOD. 84 degrees. Galveston offshore waters are producing nice catches. Snapper fishing is excellent with chicken dolphin on weedlines. Kingfish are fair. Catches of cobia are being reported near structure. Galveston jetties and beachfront are holding plenty of black tip sharks and bull redfish biting fresh dead shad. Speckled trout are good at night under the light at the dike and on the gas wells with artificial and live bait. Redfish are still on the beach side on live mullet. Mosquito Island holding speckled trout on Carolina rigged live croaker, live shrimp under a popping cork, and artificials. Freeport: GOOD. 82 degrees. Only thing to change in the fishing report is high winds. Redfish are good in the San Luis Pass with live mullet, croaker or shrimp. Trout are good at the bridge using mullet, shrimp and live croaker. Lady fish are fun to catch in the pass and good to use for bait. River is good for flounder, redfish, trout and drum. East Matagorda Bay: FAIR. 83 degrees. Fishing on days with ideal weather and light wind is producing good catches drifting with live shrimp under a popping cork. Redfish and drum are good along the shoreline drifting with lures and live shrimp under a popping cork. Jetties are holding nice sized trout. West Matagorda Bay: GOOD. 83 degrees. Fishing on days with ideal weather and light wind is producing good catches drifting with live shrimp under a popping cork. Port O’Connor: GOOD. 83 degrees. Trout are good using live croaker in 2-4 feet of water. Redfish are good on dead shrimp and sardines. Black drum fair on dead shrimp.
