This week marks the final portion of the high school soccer regular season play as teams have just two matches left to bolster playoff hopes or looking ahead at next season’s talent. The week also has a host of baseball and softball on Tuesday along with girls golf on Monday.
Sunday: The Astros visit the Mets as the Grapefruit League continues in its early stages. Space City Home Network begins the pregame show at 11:30am leading into the game, which will start at 12:10pm.
Monday: La Marque hosts Sweeny for a pair of soccer matches, with the girls starting at 5:30pm and the boys hitting the pitch at 7:15pm.
The sole baseball game on the schedule will have Clear Brook at Barbers Hill beginning at 6:00pm.
Texas City’s girls’ golf team will be among the schools participating at the Margaritaville Country Club as Magnolia West serves as host.
Tuesday: The high school softball schedule starts at 5:00pm with O’Connell at La Marque, followed at 6:00pm by Brazos at Hitchcock. Clear Brook at Brazoswood, Clear Creek at Clear Lake, Clear Springs at Clear Falls, Angleton at Friendswood, Galveston Ball at Santa Fe and La Porte at Texas City start at 6:30pm.
In high school baseball, Clear Creek at Shadow Creek, St. Thomas at Clear Falls, Summer Creek at Clear Springs, La Marque at Sabine Pass and Texas City at Columbia each start at 6:00pm, followed by Brazos at Hitchcock and Bay Area Christian at Santa Fe both begin at 7:00pm.
The final week of the boys’ high school soccer regular season has Clear Springs at Clear Brook, Clear Falls at Clear Lake and Santa Fe at Texas City beginning at 7:30pm. On the girls’ soccer slate, Clear Brook at Clear Springs, Clear Lake at Clear Brook and Texas City at Santa Fe also begin at 7:30pm.
The Rockets host the Spurs for a 7:00 pm start. Space City Home Network begins coverage at 6:30pm with the pregame show.
