Track & Field Sprints Into Area Meets

Destiny for track and field performances take place on Wednesday with the area meets that will be held in Dickinson, Angleton, Navasota and East Bernard. 

Wednesday: Each of the area high school track teams will be in competition during a day filled with area meets. The 6A area meet will be held at Dickinson’s Sam Vitanza Stadium, while Wildcat Stadium in Angleton is the site for the 5A meet. The 4A meet is at Navasota’s Rattler Stadium, with the 3A meet being held in East Bernard.

The Astros and Royals collide at 6:40pm. Space City Home Network will begin coverage at 6:00pm with the pregame show. 

Thursday: The Astros conclude their series at the Royals at 1:10pm. Space City Home Network begins coverage at 12:30pm with the pregame show.

Space City Home Network gets double duty when they begin the pregame show at 7:30pm to lead into the Rockets at Jazz matchup beginning at 8:00pm.

Friday: The high school baseball schedule starts at 5:00pm with Clear Brook at Texas City, followed at 6:00pm with Clear Springs at Clear Creek, Dickinson at Clear Lake, La Porte at Friendswood and La Marque at Columbia. Clear Falls at Brazoswood, Galveston Ball at Angleton, Danbury at Hitchcock and Manvel at Santa Fe each start at 7:00pm.

Meanwhile, the high school softball slate starts at 5:00pm with Hitchcock at Hempstead, followed at 6:00pm by La Marque at Columbia. Santa Fe at Clear Brook, Clear Springs at Clear Creek, Clear Falls at Brazoswood, Dickinson at Clear Lake, Galveston Ball at La Porte and Friendswood at Texas City each begin at 6:30pm.

The Rangers return the favor by visiting the Astros at 7:10pm. Space City Home Network and Bally Sports Southwest each begin their pregame shows at 6:30pm.

A small group of Space City Network viewers will have access to the Rockets at Trail Blazers beginning with the pregame show at 8:30pm. The game starts at 9:00pm.
Saturday: It’s an early start time for the Rangers at Astros. Both Space City Home Network and Bally Sports Southwest start their pregame shows at 4:00pm with the game starting at 4:30pm.
