BASKETBALL DOMINATES the early part of the week, as the Rockets share time with high school boys’ and girls’ hoops. The Texans will also have their share of attention as they take on a Broncos team looking to pull off an upset that could put Houston into a tie for first place in a ever-tightening AFC South.
Sunday: Coming off a win over the Patriots, the Texans will seek to continue the momentum when they welcome the Broncos for a 12:00pm kickoff at NRG Stadium. Houston will need to hold on to their one-game lead in the AFC South leading into a pair of games against the second-place Titans down the stretch. KHOU 11 will have the game live.
Monday: The Rockets conclude their brief two-game home stand when they welcome the Kings to Toyota Center for a 7:00pm tip. AT&T Sportsnet Southwest will begin its coverage with the pregame show at 6:30pm. It will be one of just four more home dates for the 2019 portion of the Rockets’ schedule as they will spend much of the month on a west coast swing that begins on December 19.
Santa Fe High School will hold its annual football banquet at 6:00pm as the Indians will honor and celebrate the team’s 2019 season.
Tuesday: Girls’ high school basketball takes center stage beginning at 5:45pm with Clear Creek at Galveston Ball and Hitchcock at La Marque. Wharton at Santa Fe tips off at 6:00pm, followed by Deer Park at Clear Springs, Davis at Dickinson, Clear Brook at Katy, Clear Falls at La Porte and Dayton at Texas City.
On the boys’ side of the hoops docket, Friendswood at Clear Brook, Galveston Ball at Clear Falls, Texas City at Deer Park and state-ranked Dickinson at Ridge Point tip off at 7:00pm, with Hitchcock visiting state-ranked La Marque at 7:15pm.
