DICKINSON FOOTBALL COACH John Snelson will go into the upcoming season with two of the top players in the Class of 2022 on his roster as offensive lineman PJ Williams and tight end Donovan Green were named as part of 247Sports.com’s top 247 incoming juniors.
Williams, a 6’4, 240-pounder, was ranked 108th overall. Considered a fast-rising prospect, Williams already owns offers from defending national champion LSU along with the University of Houston. He will come into the season as the heir apparent to former Clear Creek and current University of Georgia freshman Chad Lindberg as the top offensive lineman in District 24-6A.
Ranked 112th overall, Green is regarded as perhaps the nation’s best tight end prospect in either the class of 2021 or 2022. The 6’4, 210-pounder was named to MaxPreps.com’s Sophomore All-America team this past season and has continued to pile up offers despite the stoppage of all sports.
Green has received at least two dozen offers from the likes of Alabama, Auburn, Baylor, Florida, Houston, LSU, Michigan, Oklahoma, Penn State, Texas, Texas A&M and Washington.
Both Williams and Green will have to contend with a third player from 24-6A, as Clear Lake defensive back Julian Humphrey was ranked 136th overall. The Falcons playmaker has at least 12 offers going into the month of April, with Baylor, Houston and Missouri among the schools interested in him.
