DICKINSON HIGH SCHOOL announced its revised 2020 football schedule, which kicks off with a five-star matchup against fellow Houston area powerhouse Manvel on September 25.
The Gators, along with every other 5A and 6A program, were forced to revamp their schedules after the UIL announced it would move the state’s two highest classes to a later start to adjust to the national pandemic. The first day for fall practice will be on September 7.
Among the changes to the schedule, the start of the District 24-6A slate was moved to October 9. There will also be a two-week period in late November and early December that will allow schools to make up games if necessary. If the Gators don’t need a district make-up, they will close out the regular season with a showdown against national power Katy on November 27.
