Services will be held for La Marque native Jataria Smith and her son, Isaiah McCoy, on Tuesday, September 8, 2020 at Mainland Funeral Home, located at 2711 Texas Ave. in La Marque. Smith, who was nine months pregant with her first child, was killed in an auto accident in her home of Tyler on August 22, a day before she was scheduled to give birth. A private viewing will be held from 9:00am to 10:00am, followed by a public viewing from 10:00am to 2:00pm. A private service will be held from 2:00pm to 3:00pm before Smith is returned to Tyler for a Celebration of Life at New Hope Community Church on September 12, 2020 beginning at 11:00am.
