Isn’t it easy to look at another person’s life and notice all their faults and mistakes? We pick out how they are doing everything wrong and in no time figure out how much better you would do things if you were in charge of their life. I caught myself in that position recently, and found I didn’t like it at all.
I truly felt ashamed. The fact of the matter is I was correct about some things. But, my superior attitude was all wrong. When you are doing the best that you know how to do, then no one has the right to stand in judgement over you. Remember that everyone’s understanding of “best” is going to be different. We all need to learn to be patient and understanding with one another. That’s what love does. Love is patient. Love is kind. Love is gentle. Love is understanding.
I needed a reminder about love. Maybe you did too. Maybe we all need to change our attitudes. After all, we do reap what we sow.
