The first full week of 2022 brings cold weather (remember that?), which means fans bundling up for the first high school soccer matches of the regular season. It also brings Tuesday night basketball back into its welcomed place.
Sunday: Both the Texans and Cowboys are late starts, with the Texans visiting the 49ers at 3:05pm (KHOU11), while the NFC East champion Cowboys collide with the visiting Cardinals as Dallas still bids to gain the conference’s first-round bye. KRIV26 will have that game live at 3:25pm as it is Fox’s Game of the Week.
Monday: The 2021-22 high school soccer regular season schedule will really begin to ramp up when Santa Fe visits Clear Falls in boys’ action beginning at 7:30pm.
Meanwhile, the Rockets visit the 76ers at 6:00pm. AT&T Sportsnet Southwest will have coverage at 5:30pm with the pregame show.
Tuesday: High school boys’ basketball is back when Manvel at Friendswood, Texas City visits Galveston Ball, Brazosport at state-ranked La Marque and Santa Fe at Goose Creek Memorial tip off at 7:00pm. Houston Harmony at state-ranked Hitchcock gets under way at 7:30pm.
The girls’ basketball schedule will have La Marque at Brazoswood at 5:30pm, Houston Harmony at Hitchcock at 6:30pm, followed by Friendswood at Manvel, Galveston Ball at Texas City and Goose Creek Memorial at Santa Fe at 7:00pm.

The boys’ high school soccer slate has just one match as Pasadena Memorial visits Clear Brook at 7:30pm.
