Bolivar: GOOD. 75 degrees. When the weather permits the north jetty is holding redfish and trout biting a popping cork with live shrimp. South jetty producing trout and redfish free lining live shrimp or croaker against rocks. SWP holding redfish and trout off the rocks and piers. Trinity Bay: GOOD. 78 degrees. West or east shorelines holding decent trout and redfish depending upon the wind direction. Bay water is in good shape. Best bait is live shrimp, but anglers are catching them equally well on soft plastic lures. The Fred Hartman bridge area bite has slowed. East Galveston Bay: GOOD. 78 degrees. Water is in good shape. Catches of speckled trout coming from the open bay reefs. Waders are still doing well. Report by Captain David Dillman, Galveston Bay Charter Fishing.

Galveston Bay: GOOD. 79 degrees. Shoreline pier pilings around Eagle Point are holding a mix of trout, redfish, and black drum. The rock structures in the middle of the bay are beginning to pay off, with a mix of redfish, drum and sheepshead. Live shrimp has been the best bait. West Galveston Bay: GOOD. 79 degrees. Trout catches are improving on the east side of the causeway bridge. Those drifting the open reefs, over deep shell, are boxing a few trout and redfish. Texas City: GOOD. 79 degrees. Galveston jetties producing good catches of keeper sized redfish on live shrimp. Anglers throwing shrimp are boxing sheepshead, black drum, and a few speckled trout. Still some bull reds and large drum coming off crabs. Shark catches are increasing, seeing black tip, spinners, and sandbar sharks. Report by Captain David Dillman, Galveston Bay Charter Fishing. Freeport: GOOD. 76 degrees. The Pass is holding trout, redfish, and drum are in the guts on mullet and freelined live shrimp. Sheepshead are good at the bridge with a Carolina rig. Report by Captain Jake Brown, Flattie Daddy Fishing Adventures.

East Matagorda Bay: FAIR. 77 degrees. Still waiting for winds to calm for the bite to improve. The Colorado River is clear and full of bait, but the bite is slow. West Matagorda Bay: GOOD. 77 degrees. Still waiting for winds to calm for the bite to improve. The Colorado River is clear and full of bait, but the bite is slow.Redfish and drum are good in the ICW and bay. Wade fishing with artificial lures is producing catches. Port O’Connor: GOOD. 77 degrees. Nice sized trout are good at the jetties biting on artificials and large shrimp. Keeper drum and redfish are good on large live shrimp and sardines. Rockport: GREAT. 70 degrees. Redfish are great in 2-6 feet of water in sand pockets on menhaden, or drifting with soft plastics. Trout are good in 2-6 feet of water on live shrimp and soft plastics. Drum are good in 2-6 feet of water on dead shrimp. Waders are finding good success on trout and redfish in the early morning on live bait and plastics.
