Good Friday means Sports Thursday as high school baseball and softball teams will play a day ahead of schedule. That’s not the case for Houston’s professional sports teams, with the Rockets and Dynamo playing at home on Friday and Saturday, respectively.
Wednesday: An early start awaits the Astros in their finale against the Red Sox. Space City Home Network begins coverage at 12:30 PM with the pregame show, leading into the first pitch at 1:10 PM.
The Rockets host the Bucks at 7 PM. Space City Home Network begins coverage at 6:30 PM with the pregame show.
Thursday: With Easter weekend here, area softball and baseball teams will play today.
The softball slate begins at 5 PM with Royal vs. La Marque at TCHS Softball Field, followed at 6 PM by Brazos at Hitchcock. Ball at state-ranked Santa Fe, Deer Park at Clear Brook, Clear Falls at Clear Creek, Dickinson at Clear Lake, and Clear Springs at Brazoswood begin at 6:30 PM.
Meanwhile, the baseball schedule starts at 6 PM with Ball at Angleton, Clear Brook at Clear Creek, Clear Falls at Clear Springs, Dickinson at Brazoswood, La Porte at Friendswood, and La Marque at Willowridge. Brazos at Hitchcock and Shadow Creek at Santa Fe begin at 7 PM.
Friday: The Rockets welcome the Jazz to Toyota Center at 7 PM. Space City Home Network begins coverage at 6:30 PM with the pregame show.
The Astros begin a nine-game road trip with an 8:40 PM start at the Athletics. Space City Home Network begins the pregame show at 8 PM.
Saturday: There will be sunshine upon the Astros and Athletics as they get underway at 3:05 PM. Space City Home Network begins coverage at 2:30 PM with the pregame show.
