LA MARQUE CHRISTMAS CELEBRATIONS

La Marque Mayor Bobby Hocking, City Council and City
of La Marque staff are proud to present the annual Magical
Christmas Parade and Tree Lighting Ceremony on
Wednesday, December 6, 2017. The parade begins at
6:00 p.m. Viewing will be best after the intersection of
Westward and Rosadele, from Cedar, Bayou, 1st Street
or Laurel. The Tree Lighting Ceremony, complete with a
free visit with Santa, will be held at Walter Feigle Park immediately
following the parade.
Mayor Bobby Hocking invites citizens of La Marque
and families from the surrounding communities to enjoy
the parade then come visit with Santa and his elves. La
Marque Lions Club provides popcorn and hot chocolate
and Snow King provides free hotdogs, while they last!
Sheldon Isaac Community Choir will lead Christmas carols
during the festivities.

PARADE ROUTE
The parade route starts from Westward Avenue near
Bobby Beach Park, heads south toward Cedar, left on
Cedar, left on Bayou, right on 1st and finally left on Laurel.
Parade ends at Laurel and Bayou. Viewing will be best
after the intersection of Westward and Rosadele, from
Cedar, Bayou, First Street or Laurel.
JOIN THE FUN, ENTER A FLOAT!
A trophy for Most Magical Float will be awarded at 5:50
p.m. and the parade begins promptly at 6:00 p.m. To enter

La Marque Kiwanis will begin parade lineup at 5:00 p.m.
on Westward Avenue near Bobby Beach Park. Come
down FM 1765, head south on Westward and line up in
first come, first served order. No floats or trailers will be
allowed to enter Bobby Beach Park, other than La Marque
Police and Fire vehicles and City Council convertibles donated
by Cook Ford and DeMontrond Auto Group.
For the safety of parade participants, side streets off
Westward Avenue will be blocked during parade lineup.
Drop-off of parade participants will need to be done from
side streets including John Street, Katherine Street, Virginia
Street or McKinney Drive. All walking or marching
groups will be at
the front of the
parade, immediately
following
City Council.
Walking or
marching groups
should go directly
to Bobby
Beach Park upon
arrival.
