Showing a child the difference and impact she can
make in her community-through donations, volunteer
service, getting others involved and earning $ through
her own work and efforts. Lily is very excited about
this endeavor and her role as the co-leader of THE
LILY PROJECT. She is reaching out to other children
and families to assist her with helping our community.
Lily is also working to earn her own money by babysitting
and hostessing at her father’s restaurant for this
project! She and her friends have additionally built a
lemonade stand where 100% of the proceeds will go
to a variety of charities in Houston. Money isn’t the
only way you can help. Time, volunteering with us,
donating drinks or baked goods, or helping us start
new charity projects are needed and welcomed!
100% of the proceeds the kids earn will be distributed
to the following charities:
Texas Children’s Hospital: The kids (Lily, Tommy,
and Lucia) will buy rewards for patients in the Diabetes
unit who are following their plan of care and have a
healthy A1C level.
Animal Shelters: Lily, Kendall, Martina, and Haydn
will volunteer at an animal shelter and donate funds
and products to assist the animals and the shelter.
Donations will go to K9 Animal Shelter and
Weimaraner Rescue of Texas.
Feeding the Homeless: Lily, Ava, and Bella will
make care packages with food, water, local homeless
resources and an inspirational quote they will be given
to homeless people in Houston.
Hurricane Relief & Flood Victims: Lily, Lucia, Tommy,
Vincent and Andrew will be donating directly to local
flood victims and The United Way Hurricane Relief
fund.
Treats for Policemen & Firemen: Lily and Sienna will
bring drinks and baked goods to our first responders
as a way of saying thank you!
Casa de Esperanza de los Niños – the House of
Hope for Children – is a safe place for children in crisis
due to abuse, neglect or the effects of HIV. Casa de
Esperanza provides residential care, and coordinates
medical and psychological services according to the
needs of each child. Lily, Sienna and Eliza will be
donating to this charity and will be organizing an event
for Casa to help the kids in need.
Helping deliver gifts to children for the holidays-Lily
will provide gifts for children in need for the holidays.
Best Buddies International-Lily will be partnering
with the students at Sharpstown International to
donate to Best Buddies International. BBI is a nonprofit
501(c)(3) organization dedicated to establishing a
global volunteer movement that creates opportunities
for one-to-one friendships, integrated employment and
leadership development for people with intellectual
and developmental disabilities (IDD). The IDD community
that Best Buddies serves includes, but is not
limited to, people with Down syndrome, autism, Fragile
X, Williams syndrome, cerebral palsy, traumatic brain
injury and other undiagnosed disabilities.
