“ANNIE” IS COMING TO HARBOUR PLAYHOUSE

Annie,” the classic musical about little orphan Annie

and her quest to find the family who abandoned her,

opens at the Bay Area Harbour Playhouse November

30.

Performances will be downstairs on the Main Deck

stage through December 16 on Friday and Saturday

at 8 p.m. and Sunday at 2:30 p.m. The theatre is located

at 3803 Highway 3 in Dickinson.

Director Brandon Allen has gathered a large talented

cast who will adventure with Annie, played by

Andrea Cooper. Allen has not selected the dog to

play Annie’s lovable mutt, Sandy, although several

stage-experienced dogs have auditioned for the part.

The play is based on the book, “Little Orphan Annie,”

by Thomas Meehan with music by Charles

Strouse and lyrics by Martin Charnin.

The role of billionaire Oliver “Daddy” Warbucks,

who offers a home to Annie, will be played by D.J.

Nolder. Elis Anders will play Miss Hannigan, the villainous

director of the New York Municipal Orphanage,

and Abby Gough will play Grace Farrell, Warbuck’s

private secretary who befriends Annie.

Johanna Nolder (D.J.’s daughter) will be one of Annie’s

friends in the orphanage. Cecily Sargent, Karle

Chapman, Breylynn Hayden, and Berkley Gibbs will

also be orphans.

Other adult actors include Christopher Lowe,

Stephanie Hendrickson, Amy Morneau, Daniel Partida,

Brandi Kiekel, Daniel Bonnett, Derrick Gough,

Spencer Langseth, Alyssa brady, and Michael Grygier.

Whitney Wyatt will be BAHP’s Musical Director

and Stephanie Hendrickson choreographer. They will

work with ensembles, singers, and dancers. Abigail

Cherney, Jordan Emmitte, Vivanna Montemayor,

Hadley Grace Patrisso, Cecilia Rollo, Valerie Torres,

and Maria Volk will be in the ensemble of orphans.

Tickets are $17 with discounts for seniors, students,

military, and groups of ten or more.
