The premiere of the movie “Help!” will be held on Saturday, April 20, 2019 at Small Events,
1215 1 st Street in La Marque. Supreme Vision Entertainment is premiering the movie, which
touches on current social issues in the black community ranging from mental illness to domestic
abuse. The first screening will be from 7:00pm to 8:30pm, followed by a second screening from
8:35pm to 10:00pm. Admission is $10 and tickets can be purchased by Eventbrite.

Yoga Therapy

Fe. Hosted by Innovative Alternatives, the stress-relieving yoga practice is part of the Santa Fe

Train Rides at the Galveston Railroad Museum
-Saturdays at Galveston Railroad Museum, 2602 Santa Fe Place, Galveston from 11:00am to
1:45pm. The “Harborside Express” is an open-air caboose that travels a mile up Harborside Dr.,
then returns to the Galveston Railroad Museum. The train rides are approximately 15 minutes
long. Boarding for the Harborside Express begins at 11:00am, with the last train ride departing
the depot at 1:45 pm. The train is a standing ride without seats. Due to the caboose being open
air, the rides will sometimes be closed during inclement weather.
League City Town Hall
-April 17, 2019, 6:30pm to 8:00pm, Johnnie Arolfo Civic Center, 400 West Walker Street,
League City. Come learn more about the upcoming May 4 election and strategic plan. There will
be free Chick-fil-A sandwiches to the first 100 attendees along with a prize draw for gift
certificates donated by League City business and entertainment by the League City Intermediate

Art Walk on Downtown 6th Street
-April 18, 2019, 5:00pm to 9:00pm at Downtown 6th Street in Texas City. Come out for a
family-friendly evening of artwork, children’s crafts, art demonstrations, live music along with
food and drinks. Take a stroll down 6th Street and see everything from oil paintings to glass

Kemah Crawfish Festival
-April 19, 2019 at 12:00pm and April 21, 2019 at 5:00pm. The event will have more than 10,000
pounds of crawfish boiling while also having live Cajun and country music featuring Jarrott
Sterett & His Hired Guns, Bobby D. Sawyer and Wayne Toups. The festival will be held at the
Kemah City Parking Lot. Tickets will be $8 for adults and can be purchased through
Eventbrite.com.
Hell Raisin’ Cookers and Crawfish Bash
-April 20, 2019, 4:00pm to 11:00pm, Gulf Greyhound Park Simulcast & Event Center, 1000 FM-
2004, La Marque. Team HRC is planning an even bigger and better party than the previous two
years of the event. A private VIP area will be set up for sponsors and their guests, along with
Esteban with Flawless Entertainment playing music to keep the party hopping. For more

Taste of Santa Fe & Business Expo
-April 25, 2019, 5:30pm to 8:00pm, Galveston County Fair Grounds, Hitchcock. The Taste of
Santa Fe & Business Expo is an opportunity for businesses and organizations that serve Santa Fe
to interact with each other and with members of the community. Last year’s event had more than

2019 Area 22 Spring Games

Special Olympics Texas event will have a variety of sports, including track and field. Volunteers
also needed for the day, which is one of six statewide events held each year by Special

4th Annual Bay Street Park Clean-Up Project

7 th Annual Lone Star Deluxe Hot Rod and Music Festival

American Legion Crawfish Boil

event will give attendees the opportunity to know local veterans under a fun, family-style
