AUDITIONS FOR “DISASTER!”
APRIL 28-29 AT HARBOUR
“Disaster!” is an exciting new musical comedy and director Chris Lowe will be seeking
talented actors for the show at auditions April 29-30 at 7 p.m. at the Bay Area Harbour Playhouse.
Lowe needs an energetic cast of six men and five women who can sing and dance and bring
this Broadway musical to life at the theatre, 3803 Highway 3 in Dickinson. Earthquakes, tidal
waves, infernos and songs of the 70’s take center stage in this homage to classic disaster films.
Others will be needed to play various glamorous party guest/character roles in the play by Seth
Rudetsky and S.R. and Jack Plotnick.
Lowe has announced that Whitney Wyatt will be Musical Director and Stephanie Hendrickson
the choreographer for the show which will be on the Main Deck downstairs stage.
He also said that age is an estimated range and actors should audition for the character they feel
best fitted for. A complete descriptive list of characters can be found on the theatre’s website,
Actors auditioning should be prepared to sing any 1070’s song in the style of the show and also
to be in a dance audition. The show will be staged weekends July 12 – August 4, Friday and Saturday at 8 p.m. and Sunday at 2:30 p.m. For more information visit wwwharbourtheater.com or call 281-337-7469.
