After 15 years of struggling with my diet, I tried a 90-day health challenge called WildFit. I approached it with a “why not” attitude: I wasn’t convinced that it would work, but I was willing to try anything.
The WildFit 90-Day Challenge is based on food psychology and nutrition. The first two weeks are spent building a strong understanding of food advertising, food manufacturing, emotional eating, and more topics related to food and food psychology. Weeks 3-12 are about making small, sustainable changes to your diet one week at a time. The final week is about setting clients up for long term success.
The program is usually taught online through group coaching sessions with a Certified WildFit Coach, informational videos from the founder Eric Edmeades, and a Facebook group for support. Eric’s videos are very entertaining. He is a very passionate storyteller, and I learned so much from him throughout the program! I also became very connected to my fellow group members.
The end of the challenge was emotional – we had all changed so much physically and emotionally throughout the 90 days, and our transformations helped us to become very bonded. During the 90-Day challenge, I lost 17 pounds. I have now been out of the challenge for one month and have lost an additional 5 pounds. I also overcame digestive issues that have affected me during my entire life. After 15 years of dieting, disordered eating, and an exhausting relationship with food, I feel free. My cravings for junk food have completely vanished. I do not have to constantly argue with myself about my food decisions. My body and my mind finally feel like they are on the same page – they both want me to be healthy and happy.
My favorite part of WildFit was the clarity. Before WildFit, I was so absorbed in different diets that I couldn’t find the truth about nutrition. One day, I read about whole grains being absolutely essential to health humans. The next day, I found an article about how humans should not eat grains. Before WildFit, I didn’t know what to believe. Now, I know what to feed my body to keep myself healthy. And because of the food psychology portion of the program, I am able to make those healthy decisions easily. I enjoyed the WildFit 90 Day Challenge so much that I decided to become a coach.
I am still in training, and I will be leading my first group through the WildFit Challenge on August 3, 2020. Please reach out to me if you’re interested in healing your relationship with food and ending the diet cycle once and for all.
