To open a series featuring former La Marque and Texas City alums making TCISD great, the district focused on TCHS principal Lincoln Hypolite. Hypolite starred in football and track at La Marque High School from 1988-92, earning All-District honors in football while winning the Class 5A long jump in the 1990 UIL Track and Field finals. He graduated from LMHS in 1992 and played football at the University of Minnesota.
