Today, I am thankful for memories. As you are reading this, I will be celebrating my 65th birthday on Sunday. Being isolated, I truly need my birthday memories to sustain me. I can visit them at any time I want. No one can steal them from me or tarnish them in any way. I can share them if I choose, or greedily keep them all to myself and replay them over and over again in my mind. I never tire of them and I get to make new ones often. Some of them I write down and keep in journals, and some I just keep locked up in my heart and mind because they are too private to share. If you find yourself feeling like you don’t have much to be thankful for, I encourage you to visit your memories!
