Texas City High School junior Madison Howell traveled to Barbers Hill High School in Mont Belvieu on Saturday to compete in UIL State Academics for three events in journalism. She previously took 1st place in those events at Region and brought home the first place journalism team trophy, which is usually won by a collection of students. However, Madison managed to do this all alone.
