The week’s biggest events locally (state track and field finals, softball/baseball playoffs) have their own separate spot, leaving this portion of the schedule to the Astros and Rockets. It’s teams passing through the night, as the Astros head home for the weekend, while the Rockets prepare to play five of their final six games on the road.

Wednesday: The Astros visit the Yankees in the middle game of their series in the Bronx. AT&T Sportsnet Southwest will have the game beginning with the pregame show at 5:30pm, leading into the 6:05pm start time.

The Rockets play their penultimate home game of the 2020-21 season when MVP candidate Joel Embiid brings the 76ers to town for a 7:00pm start. Territorial restrictions apply here, as AT&T Sportsnet Southwest’s alternate channel starts coverage at 6:30pm with the pregame show.

Thursday: Houston faces an old friend in the series finale at New York, as Gerritt Cole takes the mound for the Yankees in a 12:05pm start. Cole was 35-15 in two seasons with the Astros (2018-19), including a 20-5 mark in 2019 that saw him strike out a franchise-record 326 batters en route to winning the American League Cy Young before signing a mammoth deal with the Pinstripes. AT&T Sportsnet Southwest starts coverage at 11:30pm with the pregame show.

Friday: Back home in Minute Maid Park, the Astros continue their run against American League East Division teams as the Blue Jays swoop in for a 7:10pm start. AT&T Sportsnet Southwest starts coverage with the pregame show at 6:30pm.

Houston begins its final road swing of the season when the Rockets visit the Bucks for a 7:00pm tip (territorial restrictions apply). AT&T Sportsnet has coverage with the pregame show at 6:30pm.

Saturday: The middle game of the series against the Blue Jays is an hour earlier than Friday, with the Astros squaring off with Toronto at 6:10pm. AT&T Sportsnet Southwest starts coverage with the pregame show at 5:30pm.

It’s one last trip to beautiful Salt Lake City for the Rockets, who visit the Jazz beginning at 9:00pm. AT&T Sportsnet Southwest will have coverage (territorial restrictions) with the pregame show at 8:30pm.
