We have now reached the part of the year where the Astros are the only things happening, especially since the Rockets are sitting at home for the NBA playoffs. Based on how the weekend fares, the start of the new week should come with some of the area’s high school baseball and softball teams advancing to the regional semifinals.

Sunday: Astros fans will have three ways to watch the series finale against the visiting Rangers, which begins at 1:10pm. Not only will AT&T Sportsnet Southwest (Astros) and Fox Sports Southwest (Rangers) have the game live (of course beginning with pregame shows at 12:30pm), but the game will also be seen as part of the ESPN+ package.

The Rockets finally end what will go down as the franchise’s worst season since 1982-83 when they visit the playoff-bound Hawks starting at 6:00pm. AT&T Sportsnet Southwest does its final basketball game of the 2020-21 campaign beginning with the pregame show at 5:30pm.

Monday: Other than wondering if the Rockets can get the first pick in the 2021 NBA Draft, the day is pretty quiet.

Tuesday: The Astros head back to the Bay Area for a three-game set against the Athletics, starting at 8:40pm. AT&T Sportsnet Southwest will have coverage starting with the pregame show at 8:00pm.
