No Matter What, Stay Strong in Faith

Wow! What a year we have experienced. Thinking back one year to date, how
have you handled the pandemic? How have you dealt with hard times? For everyone
reading this article, that answer will probably be different in some way. And you know
what, that’s okay! There is no one person that can tell you how to handle hardship. But can
I tell you about someone that wants to help you through your hard time? His name is Jesus!
He so desperately wants for you to place all of your trust in Him to help you through life.
Some may ask, what does it really mean to trust God? With everything the world has
faced and is facing, some may say “well how do I trust God while seeing everything that is
happening in the world.” My answer to that is this, no matter what-we must place our trust
in the One that saved us. “Easier said than done?” That may absolutely be true in your life.
But I’m a firm believer in the method-practice makes perfect. Although we will never reach
perfection in this lifetime, the more you do something the better you become, right? Do
you remember the first time you participated in a sport, for example? You may have been
a little unsure of yourself and your capabilities. However, by the end of that season you
were more comfortable with what you practiced.
It’s the same with our faith muscles and trust in God. How many times in your
past, have you faced a situation that you felt there would be no way out of and God
came in and helped you through it? Even if you can only remember one specific time, that
is more than enough to continue to place your trust in God to help you this time. I want to
encourage you and let you know that no matter what life looks like right now, continue to
trust in God.
When we aren’t trusting in God, we are trusting in ourselves and the world around us.
We are trusting in a system that is not fail proof rather than believing in the One that never
fails. The enemy would want nothing more than to interrupt the flow of the Holy Spirit in your
life. Because if he can interrupt the flow, he can live rent-free in your mind and in your life.
Calling shots and making decisions that he really doesn’t have the right to. Do not give the
enemy the power and ability to interrupt the good things God has planned for you, by
placing your faith and trust in what the world can do for you!
Life sometimes makes us feel unworthy, unappreciated and overlooked. But you
know what, God believes you are worthy! God knows you by name! God sees ahead and
knows the destiny He has for you. God wants everything great & good for you! Everything
wonderful for you! Galatians 6:9 tells us this: And let us not grow weary while doing good,
for in due season we shall reap if we do not lose heart. So, in whatever season you may be
in-do not lose heart. Do not stop doing good. Do not stop trusting and believing God.
Let me tell you this, you are not a mistake. No matter what people may have
made you feel like. I posted this earlier this week because I felt this heavy in my Spirit and it
said this: Do not rob the world of your greatness by hiding who God created you to be.
Now I’m not talking about the image we can create for ourselves or who we want others
to think we are. I’m talking about the truth in Genesis where God said that He created
them meaning us (men and women) in His image. For you to be a mistake, that means
God Himself would have to be a mistake. We know that God makes no mistakes.
No, this life is not always easy. Sometimes, when we depend on the world’s way and
ride the waves of our emotions, we tend to become entangled in some things that maybe
we should’ve avoided. But even in our mess, God is able to pull us up out of it, and make
us brand new. Psalms 34:6 says it this way: In my desperation I prayed, and the Lord
listened: he saved me from all of my troubles. God hears your cry. And He will save you
from trouble, even if its trouble you created for yourself.
Hurt and pain in life will come and it will go. People will come and they will go. Our
children will one day grow up, get married and start their own lives. The One that is
constant, is God. He will never leave you nor forsake you. No matter what the road ahead
looks like.
Have you ever driven down a straight road at night and thought you were coming
to the end, and just when it seems like you were at the end of the road, it turns into a
curve? Life may seem like its over or coming to an end for you. But I’m here to tell you that
there is a curve just up ahead and if you just keep going, you will reach your desired end!
God has brought you too far for you to give up now. Know that He has your best interest in
mind and loves you with all of His heart.
