Clear Springs and Friendswood will represent the county in a big way, as the Chargers softball team is one series away from the state semifinals, while the Mustangs collide with College Station a huge regional baseball semfinal.

Wednesday: Undefeated Friendswood clashes with College Station in Game 1 of a best-of-three 5A, Region III baseball semifinal at the campus of the University of Houston beginning at 7:00pm.

The Astros conclude a two-game set against the defending World Series Champion Dodgers, which begins airing at 6:30pm in front of a national audience on ESPN. AT&T Sportsnet Southwest will also have coverage starting with the pregame show at 6:00pm.

Thursday: Game 2 of the best-of-three series between Friendswood and College Station moves to the campus of Texas A&M University for a 7:00pm showdown at Blue Bell Park.

Friday: One step away from the state softball semifinals, undefeated Clear Springs clashes with Deer Park in Game 1 of a 6A, Region III best-of-three series at Shadow Creek High School starting at 6:30pm.

The best team in baseball comes to Minute Maid Park for a weekend set as the Padres face the Astros starting at 7:10pm. AT&T Sportsnet Southwest starts coverage with the pregame show at 6:30pm.

Saturday: Clear Springs and Deer Park play in Game 2 of the 6A, Region III softball finals at Shadow Creek High School at 4:00pm. If there is a decisive third game, it will be played 30 minutes following the completion of the second game.

If necessary, Game 3 of the series between Friendswood and College Station will be held at one of the Cy-Fair baseball venues. Gametime is scheduled for 7:30pm.

The Padres and Astros continue their weekend series with a 3:10pm contest. AT&T Sportsnet Southwest starts coverage with the pregame show at 2:30pm.
