Bolivar: GOOD. 70 degrees. Many reports of bull redfish, redfish, and jackfish. Most catches are coming with live finger mullet, fresh cut bait, or squid.

Trinity Bay: GOOD. 70 degrees. Trout are being caught along the East shoreline. Lots of undersized fish being reported. On the West side of the bay, speckled trout action is fair for those anglers throwing live shrimp and soft plastics. Exxon A-Lease is still producing good numbers of black drum on live shrimp, fished on the bottom. In Scott, Burnett, San Jacinto Bays the speckled trout action is good. Fish being landed in all the bays North of the Fred Hartman Bridge. Redfish and bull reds are also biting in the area. East Galveston Bay: FAIR. 68 degrees. In the jetties, catches of bull redfish are still common for those anglers throwing fresh dead shad and cut mullet. Few keeper black drum being caught on live shrimp. Report by Captain David Dillman, Galveston Bay Charter Fishing.

Galveston Bay: GOOD. 68 degrees. Good catches of black drum and sheepshead, along with a few speckled trout and redfish being taken from the shorelines around Eagle Point. West Galveston Bay: GOOD. 68 degrees. Trout catches are good, along with the occasional redfish. Most of the fish are being caught in the lower portion of the bay and back lakes using live shrimp or artificial lures are just as effective. Texas City: GOOD. 70 degrees. The fishing report remains the same for those Texas slams, flounder, speckled trout, slot redfish, fish in the bay using artificials, and live shrimp.

Freeport: GOOD. 71 degrees. Follow the bird action to find redfish using live shrimp under a popping cork.

East Matagorda Bay: GOOD. 73 degrees. The bays and Colorado River are producing trout and redfish. Success with live or plastic baits. If you are targeting larger fish, use any type of hardware in the East Bay. In inclement weather fish the Colorado River because it is green and clear and holding lots of fish. Port O’Connor: GOOD. 71 degrees. Fish have a good morning bite 6-9:00 A.M. Trout are good on plastics and live shrimp. Sheepshead are good using live and dead shrimp.
