IRISH POTATOES

Galveston County Master Gardener Kevin Lancon will provide a detailed overview of how to grow Irish potatoes in your home garden. This presentation is for beginners and seasoned potato enthusiasts alike. The presentation will focus on the different varieties that can be successfully grown in our area, an overview of best practices for maximum production, and a few very interesting facts and myths regarding potatoes. There will also be a bit of health and nutritional information provided as well as a few culinary tips and delicious recipes and ways to enjoy fresh homegrown potatoes.
