Bolivar: GOOD. 50 degrees. Bolivar jetty holding redfish on the bottom near the channel side. Trout are good at the wreck early morning, then in the afternoon on the beach side. Trinity Bay: GOOD. 55 degrees. Burnett Bay and San Jacinto Bay are good for sheepshead, a few redfish, and the occasional trout. Best bite is on live shrimp fished underneath popping corks. Report by Captain David Dillman, Galveston Bay Charter Fishing.

East Galveston Bay: GOOD. 54 degrees. Black drum and sheepshead are fair on the reefs with live shrimp. Waders doing the beast on speckled trout and redfish. Report by Captain David Dillman, Galveston Bay Charter Fishing.

West Galveston Bay: GOOD. 57 degrees. Water is crystal clear in many places. Best fishing is over deeper shells, in the mud streaks. Dark colored lures work best. Report by Captain David Dillman, Galveston Bay Charter Fishing.

Texas City: GOOD. 55 degrees. Black drum and redfish are good in the Galveston North and South Jetty with fresh halved crab and dead shad as bait. Sheepshead catches are improving using live shrimp. Freeport: GOOD. 56 degrees. Good numbers of sheepshead, drum, and redfish are biting on live shrimp fishing in deep cuts in front of bay entrances. Whiting in the pass mixed in with the sheepshead. East Matagorda Bay: GOOD. 64 degrees. Fishing is slow due to the erratic weather. It is a cycle of north winds knocking the tides back and staining the water, then southern winds bringing the tides back, clearing the water and opening the bite back up. Good weather days will be key. Wade fishing produces the best bite for redfish and trout. The diversionary canal and the Colorado River are stained. Port O’Connor: GOOD. 59 degrees. Fishing is good at the jetties. Sheepshead are excellent using live or dead shrimp. Redfish are good on dead shrimp and Spanish sardines. Black drum are slow with a very light bite using dead shrimp. Trout are good using voodoo artificials, and live shrimp. Rockport: FAIR. 56 degrees. Redfish are good in 2-4 feet of water on gulp and paddle tails. Trout are fair in 4-8 feet of water on suspension baits. Drum are good in 2-4 feet of water on dead shrimp.
