A Galveston County businessman is being honored by Jiffy Lube for his dedication to serving the community’s senior population. Daniel Hoyer has been delivering meals to seniors for the past several years in towns across Galveston County, including Texas City, Hitchcock and La Marque, through the Galveston County Meals on Wheels initiative.
Daniel is steadfast in his commitment to helping seniors get access to nutritious food and avoiding long bouts of isolation. He makes it a priority to reach the more than 10 seniors on his route each week, often volunteering to make double deliveries to ensure the seniors get their meals, and much-needed social interaction. To honor Daniel’s dedication, Jiffy Lube is gifting him with one year of free vehicle maintenance, to ensure his car remains road-ready year-round on his meal delivery routes.
