BE THE CHANGE

Back to the Foundation – Be the Change To Want To See- If Not You Then Who? If Not Now Then When?  First, I would like to take this time to tell all my readers,
Thank You. I have been getting so much positive feedback from people I have never met and they see me in public and tell me “Thank you for this article because it encourages them every Sunday. And my motto is, If I could reach just one person then I have done my job. So again, Thank YOU.  So in today’ Be The Change, I thought it would be imperative that we went back to the basics and the whole reason for this column. Us being the change in our world, that we want to see. As I look in the news, there is so much negative things going on, and it is driving people to fear. People are scared to take their kids to school in fear that they may get shot. People are leaving packages on other peoples front doors with bombs in them. I even saw on the news that a guy was fighting for custody of
his 4 year old daughter and weeks before he was to be awarded custody, the child’s mother and her boyfriend murdered the little girl. And I thought to myself ‘ everything that is going on, has already been written.’ And we are literally living in the last days.  So I would like to challenge you. Because you who are brothers and sisters in Christ, you are the only Bible some people will ever read. And it is left upon our shoulders to be the Light in a very dark world.  So my challenge to you -If not you, then who? And if not now, then when?  A lot of times, we dot like to get involved with certain situations because it isn’t directly affecting us. But to do nothing is still doing “something. Especially, if you call yourself a Christian.  There is so much hatred in the world today and like the saying goes, If it was easy, everyone would be doing it.  I believe for people who are living in hatred, it is easier than to love your enemies. Bless those that curse you because the Bible says, when you bless a man that curses you, it is like setting hot coals upon his
head. Some people ask me why would I want to open a youth development after
school program in Texas City.  And my answer is simple; these children are the next generation and if no one shows them and encourages them to go in the right direction, then they will be lost.  So we as a community, have to stick together and love one another, help one another, and to the best of our abilities, carry each other’s burdens.  Because the Bible says, Love covers a multitude of sins. And if God is love, how can you say you love God whom you cannot see, but hate your brother, whom you can?  So we can start with me. I will be the first to pick up my
cross, lace my shoes, and buckle my helmet and Be The Change I want To See in my world, Now my question to you is, will you be the change YOU want to see in your world?  Be The Change YOU Want To See BE THE CHANGE .
