The nationally-acclaimed Houston Children’s Chorus will present its annual Summer Pops Concert, “KIDS AT THE MOVIES”. This year’s performance will feature the wonderful songs from 70 years of Disney movies, as well as other kids’ movie favorites, such as “The Sound of Music”, “Wizard of Oz”, and others. Stephen Roddy is the conductor and Stevie Rivers Rawlings is the choreographer.
Tickets are $15 and available in advance on the Chorus website, www.houstonchildren.org, or by calling 713.650.3800. A limited number of tickets will be available at the door. The event begins at 5 p.m. at The Grand 1894 Opera House.
The concert is a culmination of the week-long day camp for Galveston children. This day camp has been presented on the Island by the Chorus for over 25 years.
Joining the children of Galveston and the Houston Children’s Chorus will be 20 children from the city of Taichung, Taiwan.
