
With Spring Break over, area high school sports teams resume the business of competing for bigger goals that lie ahead. That includes the girls’ golfers of District 22-5A, who begin their tournament at Bay Forest Golf Forest.
Sunday: The Rockets look to snap a franchise-record 18-game losing streak when they welcome the Thunder to Toyota Center for an early (1:00pm) tip. AT&T Sportsnet Southwest begins coverage with the pregame show at 12:30pm.
Monday: Playing a back-to-back, the Rockets will get the Raptors into Toyota Center as the teams begin action at 8:00pm. AT&T Sportsnet Southwest starts with the pregame show at 7:30pm.
The final high school boys’ soccer regular season matches go down as Clear Brook at Clear Springs, Clear Falls at Brazoswood and Clear Lake at Dickinson each start at 7:30pm.
The final two high school girls’ soccer matches are also on the slate with Brazoswood at Clear Falls and Dickinson at Clear Lake each start at 7:30pm.
The road to the state high school golf tournament finals begin as the District 22-5A girls’ meet will be held at La Porte’s Bay Forest Golf Course.
Tuesday: A busy high school softball schedule starts at 6:00pm with La Marque at Needville, followed by Clear Brook at Clear Springs, Clear Falls at Brazoswood, Friendswood at Baytown Sterling, Brazos at Hitchcock, La Porte at Santa Fe and Goose Creek Memorial at Texas City each starting at 6:30pm. Clear Lake at Dickinson closes out the slate at 6:45pm.
In high school baseball, Brazoswood at Clear Brook, Clear Springs at Clear Creek, Clear Lake at Clear Falls, Baytown Sterling at Friendswood, Santa Fe at La Porte and Texas City at Goose Creek Memorial each begin at 6:00pm. La Marque at Columbia begins at 7:00pm.
