Dickinson’s Destiny Smith was named the Vype Houston Female Track and Field Athlete of the Year following a season that was capped off by finishing second in the UIL State 6A girls’ 100 meter hurdles and third in the 6A girls’ 300 meter hurdles. Smith will continue her track career as a member of the University of Houston’s women’s track and field squad this fall.
