When I was growing up I often heard the phrase “don’t make a mountain out of a molehill.” I have to admit that I have created huge mountains out of molehill problems. A good friend reminded me this week in conversation, that sometimes he just wants to sit at the foot of a mountain and rest there alone. Upon reflection, I realized that we all need that opportunity as well. Not all mountains before us are meant to be scaled. Some are just there for us to breathe in their beauty and majesty, and are a place to rest, reflect, relax, and refresh.
I have never sat in front of a molehill and should I encounter one in the future, I don’t think that they will dazzle me with their magnificence or grandeur!
