Destination: Arlington Awaits Nine Area Football Teams

Nine area high school football teams embark upon the road to Arlington when the state playoffs begin on Thursday night. All paths lead to AT&T Stadium for the state finals, which will be held from December 15-18.

The schedule goes as follows:

Thursday:

Galveston Ball vs. Katy Paetow, Katy ISD Legacy Stadium, 6:00pm (5A, Region III, Division I).

Hitchcock vs. Lorena, Montgomery High School, 7:30pm (3A, Region III, Division I).

La Marque vs. West Orange-Stark, Randall Reed Ford Texan Stadium, New Caney, 7:30pm (4A, Region III, Division II). 

Friday

Clear Creek vs. Shadow Creek, Freedom Field, Alvin, 7:00pm (6A, Region III, Division II).

Clear Falls vs. Dawson, Challenger/Columbia Stadium, League City, 7:00pm (6A, Region III, Division II).

Clear Springs vs. Pearland, The Rig, Pearland, 7:00pm (6A, Region III, Division I).

Dickinson vs. Alief Taylor, Sam Vitanza Stadium, Dickinson, 7:00pm (6A, Region III, Division I).

Friendswood vs. Angleton, Henry Winston Stadium, Friendswood, 7:00pm (5A, Region III, Division I).

Texas City vs. Houston Sterling, TCISD Stadium, Texas City, 7:30pm (5A, Region III, Division II).

Notes

*Texas City will host a playoff game for the first time in school history.

*Both the La Marque and Texas City playoff games can be listened to on victorysportsnet.com.

*TexanLive.com will have live broadcasts of the Clear Creek, Clear Springs, Dickinson and Galveston Ball playoff games.
