Dickinson Seeks to Build Off Signature Win

Week 2 of the high school football season will be highlighted by Dickinson, which defeated nationally-ranked Katy on Saturday. The Gators are at home against CE King on Friday beginning at 7 PM.

Wednesday: The high school volleyball schedule has North Shore at Clear Brook at 5:30 PM, followed by Friendswood at Clear Springs at 6:30 PM.

In high school tennis, Clear Brook at Clear Falls is at 3 PM, while Clear Creek at Dickinson begins at 3:15 PM. Clear Springs at Brazoswood is at 3:30 PM.

The Astros face the visiting Yankees at 7:10 PM. Space City Home Network will begin the pregame show at 6:30 PM. The game will also be seen on MLB Network and Prime Video.

Thursday: Each of the five Clear Creek schools will be in action for the annual CCISD Varsity Tournament, which runs through Saturday.

Friday: High school football starts at 7 PM with Ball at Texas City (Victory Sports Network), Eisenhower at Clear Brook (Veterans Memorial), Shadow Creek at Clear Creek (Challenger-Columbia), Clear Springs at Houston Heights, CE King at state-ranked Dickinson, Friendswood at Willowridge, state-ranked Hitchcock at Hamshire-Fannett, and Vidor at Santa Fe.

In high school volleyball, Hitchcock at Eisenhower is at 6 PM, while Angleton at Texas City, Friendswood at Iowa Colony, and Santa Fe at Ball is at 6:30 PM. 

Ball hosts its annual Ike Tennis Tournament, with Friendswood among the teams competing in the two-day event. 

It’s off to Arlington for the Astros, who face the Rangers at 7:05 PM. Space City Home Network starts coverage at 6:30 PM with the pregame show. 

Saturday: The high school football schedule has Clear Falls at George Ranch at 5 PM and La Marque at Wheatley at 6 PM.

The college football schedule has San Jose State at Texas (KTRK13) at 11 AM, followed by Utah State at Texas A&M (SEC Network) at 11:45 AM. Texas Southern at Cal (ESPN+/ACC Network) and Houston Christian at Eastern Kentucky at 5 PM. South Dakota at Lamar (ESPN+), Houston at Rice, and UT-Rio Grande at Prairie View start at 6 PM

KRIV26 will have the middle game of the Astros-Rangers series at 6:15 PM as part of its Baseball Night in America broadcast. Stephen F. Austin at Abilene Christian (ESPN+) is at 7 PM, while Sam Houston State at Hawaii kicks off at 10:59 PM.
