NINE AREA high school football players will represent their respective schools one more time as members of the East team during the 16th annual Bayou Bowl. The game will be played at Stallworth Stadium in Baytown on June 9 beginning at 7:00pm. Dickinson had three players selected for the game, which will give the recently graduated seniors an opportunity to perform in front of college scouts. The Gators will be represented by offensive lineman Evaristo Nunez, defensive back Nate Randle, Jr. and linebacker Malik Williams.
Friendswood and Texas City will each have two players suiting up. Receiver Nick
Swaney and kicker Sam Wittman will represent the Mustangs while the Stingarees will have linebacker Yvan Andrew and receiver Nicolas Milburn donning the black and orange one last time.
Clear Creek quarterback Sam Mathews and Clear Falls running back Sam Davis will also be members of the East team.
The game returns to Baytown after last year’s Bayou Bowl was held at Humble’s Turner Stadium.
