Across the Gulf coast families are still living out of trailers or motels. Parents are still out of work, unable to provide for their families and without organizations like the Galveston County Food Bank, there is little help for them and their children. As one of the beneficiaries of the Red Nose Day event, much needed funds support programs like Kidz Pacz.  3 years. $100 million. 8 million children.
Together Red Nose raised over $100 million in just 3 years. That money will help change the lives of more than 8 million children in all 50 states and in some of the poorest communities in Latin America, Asia and Africa.  32.2 million meals served to hungry American children 6.79 million children received essential medical service 61,527 homeless children served & 899,493 received
educational services.  We all can make a difference – One Red Nose At A Time

The Vulnerable Communities in Harvey’s Path, Mapped Humanitarian aid organization Direct Relief has created interactive ESRI maps that show exactly where these communities are. The mapmakers have used the Centers
for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) social vulnerability index to show the geographic distribution of households with elderly or disabled members (in orange), immigrant and limited English-speaking populations (in purple), and pockets of poverty (in green). The darker the color, the higher the concentration of these factors in each region: Harvey will continue to impact our most vulnerable populations for years to come. And many individuals, families, small
businesses that were not vulnerable before Harvey are hanging on by a very fine thread.  Visit rednose.org. See what they are doing to combat child hunger
and find out how you can get involved. From your living room to the
classroom, lets remind each other the power we have to come together
and make a difference.  After all, that is just what we do down here!
