HITCHCOCK made its presence felt on the District 13-3A-1 end of season honors,

led by sophomore Devin Preston, who was named the district’s newcomer of the

year. Playing at both running back and defensive back, Preston was one of the

key reasons the Bulldogs reached the postseason for a fifth straight year as they

finished with a 7-4 record.

Freshman Christian Dorsey, who played quarterback, running back and receiver,

was selected as the district’s top utility player.

Senior fullback Tyger Turner and senior offensive lineman Elijah Mason were

named to the all-district first team offense, while Mason (at tackle), senior linebacker

Josh Castilleja and senior linebacker Deonza McCardell were selected on

the first team defense.

McCardell (at running back) and sophomore receiver Davin Preston were named

to the second team offense. Junior defensive ends Kelvon York-Norman and Michah

Bumgarner, sophomore linebacker She’mar Johnson and junior defensive
